Summer Camp
Sleeping bag: Rectangular; refilled. Why? More comfort. More difficult to bear. More space in the interior.
Winter Camping:
Type of Sleeping Bag: Mummy; filled. Why? More heat.
Backpacking:
Type of Sleeping Bag: Mummy; filled. Why? Warm if necessary, you can open the zipper when in the night. Be easy to wear, better compression to save space in the backpack.
I use a down mummy full annual report and if it is too hot are at the top or unpack. In the winter I bring as a "line" sleeping bag (just zip through the middle) then put the bag inside the mummy. It keeps you warm and dry.
